Up north, the best is to buy a car coming off a three year lease. No rust, one owner, and maintenance was done because it was probably free.
My Husband was a mechanic (Aviation), and he only bought with cash, from the dealer at lowered price because he had cash and was good at bargaining, so that he could have the warranty for 3-5 years. He would trade it in just before the warranty was over, and get another one with cash for much less including his 3 year old trade in. Always kept a full warranty. So at this rate, he never had to work on it because he was always working on planes he was tired and didn't want to come home and work on his or deal with other mechanics. So for a 15,000 or less, one time payment in cash, he was able to stay in warranty always, and trade them in after three years for another new car. It is a convenience and you must have cash to make this economical as well. But we shouldn't be getting loans anyway. They are another rip off. So loans are just another way they take your money because you want something you can't afford. When you walk up to a salesman with cash, you have the advantage and can pay thousands less for a brand new car. Always get the least expensive, smallest piece of crap car you can get too. Because under warranty, it doesn't matter so much. His last new car was a Geo. Paid somewhere around 10,000 or less, but with a 3 year trade in, paid half of the dealer's price, brand spankin new. Each year they put out at least one small, cheaply made vehicle that is possible to buy new for less than 12,000 dollars. Mechanics would go out of business if everyone did it this way tho.
Im sick of working on cars and wether its new or old you always have to fix them.
Not buying new cars is going to put millions of people out of jobs.
Jay Leno is a real car guy, so how come he practically buys every new car
Hey Scotty, will you pimp my ride?
I want to get a Subaru brz, but people tend to abuse cars like that, so I am not sure if I should get a used or new one.
