A few years ago GM closed their Australian factory that produced their high-selling Holden Commodore and assumed they could bring in a foreign-made GM model and rebadge it as a Commodore and keep up the sales. The new “Commodore” in the last three years doesn’t even make the top ten of cars sold. The Commodore wasn’t the best at anything but people bought it because it was made in Australia. I can see the same thing happening to all the GM models in the USA.
