I will have to do this with my Elantra around year 3 or 4. Kind of worried as I did that HUGE mistake on my 05 Neon (SX 2.0 up here) and at 100,000 MILES (160,000km) I had it all pumped out and replaced – it was still pretty clear, but not pink .. brown/coffee colour so just old – but whatever they did, it wrecked the transmission within 6 months. Very upsetting as it ran perfect until then.
Was there not a filter inside the pan that needed changed
Why not drop the pan and put a new filter for your transmission while your at it?
I tke the honda cvts will last drain and filling at least every 30k
Scotty has a good steady hand , i usually make a mess
That's some pretty stupid advice to say that the tranny fluid will last the lifetime of the tranny. Sure, if you want to replace the tranny at 100k miles. Sounds like something a dealer mechanic would say.
I am an automotive engineer i can understand Scotty,s hand flapping.
Nice, havnt seen a video with Scotty getting down and dirty doing a repair video. I know hes getting old, but I love it.
Brilliant Scotty regards from Dublin City Ireland 🇮🇪 I have a Nissan with cvt transmission and it wouldn't pull you out of bed 😂😂 try going up a steep hill and you nearly have to get out and push the bloody thing 🙄🙄 keep up the good work fella 👏👏👏
Good info Scotty. Are the Asin 6-speed automatic transmissions a good transmission ?
