With Kia it depends on the motor it has plus how take care of it. Mine is a 2010 with 208,000 miles, and still runs fine.

Pull transmissions from wrecked cars. If the car is in the yard because it was in a crash, you know it was drivable and can assume the transmission is good. If the car isn't wrecked, you can assume the engine or transmission is bad.
