100,000 miles is the new 50,000. I wouldn't have ever considered buying any vehicle with over 100,000 miles, until my last 3 made it to 300,000 with no problems. HOWEVER – anything with 300,000 miles on it is worn out. Buy it very cheaply and expect to get no more than a year or two out of it before it's done.

I paid $8000 CDN for a 2012 Tundra with 300,000 KM in 2019. Have towed some heavy loads without issues. Truck has been very good and much better than the crap 3005 GMC 2500HD that I bought with 200,000 KM

Scotty, if he had the tyranny rebuilt and had the top-end rebuilt, in your opinion, would it be worth it to get another 200k+ miles? Also, at the end you forgot he needs a new front passenger side tire (or possibly just rebalanced). Lol.

Our 2004 F-350 has been pulling our 5th wheel for over 16 years now. These trucks are awesome.

Hey Scotty! Should I buy a 2004 F-150 with 136k miles on the engine for $5k?

  6. MrSloika

Bought a vehicle with 300K on it. This is all too common these days. What a sad place Murica has become.

The tow/haul mode on a diesel is a very impressive transmission.

He mentioned that "left front wheel bearing" 6 times 😂 and that's a record that he didn't mention the Toyota as an example for 1 single time 😂

Scotty, you are a great example of a great American!
You are honest and passionate about what you do.
You love helping and serving others through the trade you have chosen and love.
You receive pleasure from becoming extremely good at what you do, and sharing your skill, knowledge and passion with others.
I am sure that you make very good money, but money has not become your god. I'm sure that you are exceedingly much more happy than those whose objectives are mainly going after money and material things.
I hope that many, by your passionate example, learn the value of loving and serving others through the means of their chosen professions. Also, by your example, I hope that many will see that a very good life consists of much more than chasing after material things, even though acquiring some things, and enjoying them, is part of the pleasure of living.
Thank you for being a great example, especially for young people.
The LORD bless you Scotty, in Jesus Holy and Awesome Name!
