As big a battery that will fit the tray.
I've actually cut one end of a tray out on a wee rice burner, it was jammed up so tight it couldn't ever possibly move. BUT…don't forget clearance to the hood. Make sure a bigger battery doesn't ground out.
It's not only that Scotty, it's the stop 🛑 start technology as well because as you know dumping the starter across the battery is like putting a wrench across the posts, it's like a dead short!
We'll see you in a few years how this technology has played on the wear and tear the car.
