That's crazy, we pay €2.22 per litre for diesel and petrol in Ireland but even if you convert it to US gallons it would be about €8.20 or $8.25 per gallon. So greatful I went for diesel when I got my car last year, 55mpg all day long means I don't spend too much time emptying my wallet at the local petrol station
