    Maybe I have only seen newer cars, but all the ones that I have worked on have a hole in the cap so they don't suffer that fate.

    Im not Ac savvy, how do you tell the difference between the high side valve and the low side valve?

    I just replaced a cap that had the threads stripped out. I found it by the battery. This explains it

    i’ve always evacuated the system and applied about 300psi of nitrogen into system and used soapy water to find leaks. either that or the UV dye but the nitrogen method is faster

    Good tip but I do have to say use soak bubbles let them sit for a min or 2 you will see it bubbling uv dye is always another great option but it's messy n ussaly used when u can't find the leak w a leak detector
