The older Ford pickups around 1979 or so, their column shifts for automatics, if you didn't time to make sure it was in park, they would actually be in reverse and if the engine was running and you was getting out, you would half to jump back in and make sure it was in park. In those days the GM column shifter was much better. Of course today I wouldn't have either one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

even the early 2000 f 150s, I drove one once and put it in park, but was really reverse, backed up into a utility trailer. no damage either side but I've seen it on others, used to work at dealerships!

I reckon this metal shaving were probably just burrs that didn’t get cleaned up well on the newly manufactured parts, and probably just flaked off into the oil, while breaking it in.

Scott do you think I should 2022 Porsche Boxster base model 2.0 turbo engine for reliable ? Also if do should I change oil 10,000 milage synthetic or 5,000-7,500 type oil ? Since turbo engine are troublesome. Planning drive it gentle not in aggressive way.
