Good to see idiocracy taking place at Ford.
Rule number 1 – never rely on park to hold any car, hold the car with the brake then appy the handbrake then move into park. You don't want to load the weight of any car on the park pin.

Great cars…the Fairmonts had some cheap plastic parts that needed replacing like the steering coupler, but all in all solid …and yes $500 went a long way back

Ford had the same transmission problem with all of their automatic transmissions in the 1970s.

~ Ford and plastic just don't go together! I have a 1994 Mazda B3000(Ford Ranger) and I'm on my 11th turn signal arm because a little plastic part breaks! 😡 I'm going to get my Nephew to 3D print me some. 😂
