Fords are GARBAGE anyways!
Why don't they just go back to the regular old engines?!
Chips are all made in Asia, and that is the future of the auto industry. American and European car companies will be in trouble when BEVs and PHEVs become mainstream.
Scotty, we don't have the materials or factories here. Even if they were buying Japan/Korean branded stuff, it is a good chance it was made in China. We simply cannot make what we need here in the USA. That is long gone. China can shut us down anytime.
Even the driver assist features make you (me lol) complacent. It's nice in stop and go traffic but they can be dangerous too.
Sorry Scotty but I don't agree with this one. The chip shortage had affected the global supply chain. Doesn't matter if it was being made in Taiwan or Japan or the US. Every company is facing this issue, Ford just made a mistake with assuming demand would go down.
Back up plan is raising the MSRP by 10-15% on already overpriced vehicles
Most chiptsets are made made in Taiwan, or china… chipsets are made he in the usa.. everyone is having problems with the chipsets not just ford
