In a previous video ( I had a look at a customers 2014 Ford Focus that came in with a customer complaint of no headlight operation, or panel dimmer and no trunk release button. My attitude went south once I discovered the rats nest of addons under the dash so I needed to walk a way for a bit. Good thing I did because we discovered the real “rats nest.” -Enjoy!

My wife wants to know what happened to the "most eligible batchelor" mechanic. Did he run off with a lady customer who owns a new Cadillac?

Dude….we all have those days and we all have those cars that make us go oh ffs get lost. It takes a lot of will power to stick with it long enough to realize the problem is fixable and not just let previous bad experience dictate how this was going to go. Good on you Eric, unfortunately customers will never fully appreciate what goes into this crap lol

Man I am not a fan of battery removal on an Mk3 Focus (same design on an Escape). I replaced my factory 96R (small) with an H6 size and lemme tell ya, hauling a 50lb battery in & out of that little spot is a massive PITA! 😂

Hey , don't sweat the zip tie repair. That repair will last at least 8 years. The car will only last another 5. And zip ties don't weigh much, so you won't hurt the gas mileage. Carry on.

Fixing cars for a living can be infinitely frustrating. I appreciate you showing the diagnosing part of the work. I tend to get the call when the parts cannon has already been fired.

I'm almost ready for retirement myself, but have those same frustrating days quite regularly. It is bad enough that cars aren't really designed to be worked on anymore, but the aftermarket crap is always a major problem. I cop enough attitude myself, but notice it more and more with my boss, as well. Thank for what you do, Eric!

You diagnosed the fault in boiling conditions, it does jack up the stress.
Stress fogs the brain and makes everything feel much worse than reality.
I left a job because of high stress levels, Very distructive.

I can't speak for anyone else but I get your frustration
