We use the light from outside and also from the neon lights above to find more dents in our car restoration after we prime it! Using A Light Source can be very helpful in finding imperfections when restoring a car or truck! Use the light as a tool and you will be a professional before you know it!

Let me just say my friend Pete!!! You are one hell of a good body and paint master. And Mini the body shop girl is a very good and hard worker. Your both very detailed in what you do. That makes a good body shop. I'd love to work with you for a month. I've been doing body and paint for over 40 yrs and find that I've been doing some things not necessarily wrong but could be doing things differently to get a better job. Thanks Pete

I've been a subscriber since the Mini cooper right quarter panel fix, about 7-8 years? This channel never disappoints, you're a great teacher Pete!

Great vid Pete….I've found that late afternoon sunlight shining inside my shop helps me find all imperfections because the sun is low on the horizon and acts like a bright light in my shop. The parts where the sun don't shine (lol) I use a bright light bulb placed just right along the body and skimming my eyes I can find all the tiny imperfections. Another trick I learned from a body repairman years ago is that once the primer is sanded, take a clean cotton teeshirt, lay it flat (no wrinkles) on the body panel and lay your hand flat on the teeshirt and move it along the panel and you will feel all imperfections through the rag…sounds crazy but it works…at least for me.
Thanks again Pete for sharing your experience and taking all the time and effort with your vids…Find a nice home yet?

Do you have any cars or motorcycles of you're own? That you have restored?, if so it would be cool to see the work you did on them
