1st: 2012 it's not a new car, 2nd: always put a little bit of new oil onto oil filter rubber seal, this will help the seal and will come off easier next time, 3rd: "tightly by hand" oil filter may not be enough, under load it can leak, 4th: spark plugs should be in tightly enough and side note: should not be worked on, when engine is worm, only when engine is cold. Great video, people needs to do basic checks and they won't brake down as often
I always call a motoring journalist when I need a service
cabin filter…….
here comes all the experts in the comments lol
Total saving £2.000 Loss in value £2000 that's fair…..in 6 yrs you'll save £4000 while your car depreciates like a sack of spuds roughly and you can buy another car for that that's what people don't understand.I've been doing this for 9 years on a 2002 car which i still have now it still drives sweet as plus reliable as any car out there.I saved so much even on repairs ie exhaust, brake pads,ATF change etc.Only thing i paid for is the auxilary belts.Like he said in the video…let it drain properly for like 10-15 mins and pour new oil in and let that drain out any dirty crap in the sump it'll help alot.
Those spark plugs are good no need to change them though anyways good video ?
Oil on the filter gasket before tightening… And I would just spend £20 an hour on a mechanic…and watch the TV….probably Top Gear or something 😉
Luckily labour is quite affordable in my country, so no one services on their own. Oh and also over here the warranty will be void if the service is not done at the dealer
