is this from a episode?
Diy is the best plus you know it’s done right and new quality parts are used. Also doesn’t take long esp if you have a common car. Just did a full tune up on my daily Honda. Runs so much better now. 100k on the iridium NGK and honestly they look like they can go another 100k. But swapped them out as per Honda’s recommendation
Actually a bad DIY because you completly forgot to tell that joints (filter's and engine bolt's) need to be lightly oiled with finger to ensure impermeability. BASICS
none of this stuff actually needed to be replaced though, I guess except for the oil. maybe clear that up a bit for the viewer? I mean that air filter was fine and so were the spark plugs
Sounds good but dont forget that you need to have a garage and the lift to be able to change oil.
DIY garage? It should be everywhere! I need to change an $80 hard to reach tensioner (need to lift the car up, other than that, just 20min work), but the dealer quotes me $700+…
that air filter was almost as new why the fuck change it.. just clean it abit with air compressor.. also fuel filter should be changed if you keep ur car all the time on redlight fuel if you don't change it once 3-5 years..
"sump plugs are pretty universal" – my Renault requires a square key, I changed oil in my friends punto and needed a 12mm hex, thought could use that when I got a multipla only to find that requires a 10mm hex! 2 of those I needed to go and buy specially, so if you are planning on doing this, check what you need first! Also, you could buy a decent toolset for the money he spent on hiring the tools & ramp (that he didn't need)
What a horrible tutorial. No oil plug gasket/ring. Never put oil quantity on specks alone, it will always be to much.
Excellent
