You wouldn't want to do this to your shiny new ride but for a Beater with a heater its mint…

just a suggestion for someone who might want to try this instead of using the Bondo filler use the Bondo filler fiberglass first then the Bondo gold filler you would get better wear.

Probably no harm to put a layer or 2 of smooth fibre glass to weather proof it fully

Anyone know how long a foam fill repair will last compared to a welded repair

Guys please dont do this… This will trap moisture and just make the rusting faster

Picked up a badly rusty 91 Miata for 400 at an impound yard did this procedure turned around and sold it for 7k. Works well enough lol

This guy i know did this to his truck fenders about 5 years ago but instead of using a bondo over the foam he used an epoxy mixture and sanded the epoxy down then put rhino liner over the foam and put new fender flares. He took the fender flares off last night to replace them and the spray foam with rhino liner was 100% fully intact like the day he did it lol the spray foam and rhino liner lasted longer than his fender flares. Figured ide share this info cause i saw this with my own two eyes when he did it 5 years ago and what it looked like now. It worked really good

How long does the foam need to sit before sanding? Then how long for the bondo?

I like the idea of the foam but bondo is brittle and will crack maybe use fiberglass long hair for more rigidity
