Come along as I have a look at a 2015 Kia Sorento that has been at the dealers countless times and another local shop to see why the heck this thing won’t start! It cranks over just fine but won’t start…. sometimes. The other shop towed it to me to see if we could make heads or tails of it. Let’s have a look.

    Good job.

Excellent bit of troubleshooting! Logical and sensible approach. I would have proceeded exactly the same. You’ll have a happy customer now.

I’m blown away the dealer did not do this repair. At least they could have replaced the fuse box and send it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I used to fix things for a living, intermittent problems were the bane of my existence. Methodical troubleshooting is the way to go, because unless you understand why it wasn't working you can't be sure that it's fixed when it starts working again. You were fortunate that it came in not running… the open circuit was present for you to track it down. The worst is when the customer says "It's working right now, but sometimes …"
