This one actually comes in by suggestion. I wish I could remember from where, but I thought it was a great idea. We all have things that bug us about the jobs we …

I wish I didn’t have to be a waiter but I don’t have $70 for Uber rides every time I get my car fixed!

You need to replace your front tires. (C) Why they don't look bad to me. Well the inside is showing steel belt. (C) so how long will they last…. I cant say it could be today it could be a week from now but they will fail. (C) Well I think it will be fine just put it back it doesn't need to be replaced…..

I forget my wheel locks because they are only one one of my cars. The last 2 times I had to have the tires rotated, I saw a the mechanic with my trunk open and then remembered the locks. Mine is in the toolbox in the trunk, so at least it is in a logical place.

Who else think most mechanics are rip offs? Cmon be honest, it doesn't seem to fail each time a mechanic is giving you the rundown of stuff that's wrong with your car and at the back of your mind you're saying "this fucker is trying to rip me off!" ?

As an alarm technician, we experience the same issues.

I like these very realistic talks. Everyone has his/her own fair share of problems.

“Don’t you have a computer to tell you how to fix the car?” I don’t even dignify that question with more than a no.
Also: In the world of roadside assistance- “ I have an appt at x:xx hours. You’re gonna have to wait…” Call for assistance when you’re free. Im not a doctor and im not handsomely paid to wait. Those never get old fast enough.

I bought a used 07 Infiniti M35 a little while back. It's in great condition and runs perfectly. About a month and a half ago I had to replace the radiator, which was no big deal at all. It's somewhat expected at around 105k miles since everyone started making these crappy plastic radiators. I decided that while I had my mechanic replacing the radiator, I'd go ahead and replace my fog light bulbs with some new LED bulbs that I had. One of them was super easy to access, especially with the radiator out but the other one required that I take one of the front wheels off. So I took the center cap covers off and realized that the car had wheel locks. I had only owned the car for about a month or two and I never even thought to check that. The problem was, I had already gone through the entire interior and never found any wheel lock keys. Luckily, my mechanic was able to remove them without a key and I went up the road to an O'Reilly to buy four new lug nuts.

If I hadn't decided to install those LED's, I may not have found those wheel locks until I eventually got a flat tire and then I would have been screwed.

Phew, I'm not guilty of any of these. It all seems like common sense to me, but common sense isn't so common these days. Love the videos.

Man, if you guys think CUSTOMERS don't have a LONG list of complaints about shoddy service work you are HIGH.
    1. When i make an appointment to have my car serviced, I will be waiting for it to be done…and I expect my repair work to begin at the TIME I scheduled it…not two hours later because you ran into problems with the previous repair…I don't leave my car unattended with ANYONE…
    2. Be more detail oriented….can't tell you the number of times I've had to go home, remove the front wheels after an alignment, to straighten out the tie rod boots the alignment guy was too busy to untwist after aligning my car….
    3. charging a "shop rate" for a job when you know it doesn't take as long to repair…example…don't tell me my clutch job is going to be $600, when the parts were $150, and it only took you guys 3 hours to replace it…if the hourly shop rate is $100 and it take 3 hours to replace my clutch, that comes to $450 parts and labor, NOT $600…so many thieving mechanics out there…
    4. when I ask for "Al", the mechanic with 30 years repair experience to be working on my car, don't think I'm not going to complain when you try and let the 24 year old new kid in the shop try and work on my car…

So yeah, there are reasons many of your customers seem to be untrusting of your work, and it's because they've been screwed by other mechanics before…
