This one had me laughing too much at the end ? Anyway, I agree that gorilla tape is king. I never went back to the thing regular grey stuff when I found out about gorilla tape.

I had a VW I bought at auction doing that… with the lights.. and well.. I went as far as even pulling one of the valve covers.. replacing a couple small seals inside.. I even replaced the coil pack and spark plugs.. and I had two other mechanics look at it……… still kept doing it.. then I got mad and really started to look at things.. well what do you know… one end of one wire from the coil pack to the plugs was just bad… well.. I don't know for sure if it was just one.. because once I found the one was bad.. I replaced them all… and so then like magic.. suddenly the car wasn't misfiring anymore.. all the lights went off.. it ran like a dream.. I sold it and made about a grand.. but that's what I do for a living.. I can tell you that a lot of times yes.. these VWs are junk.. ha.. especially in that 2002 to 2005 range.. don't ask me why.. I have no idea… the 90s ones actually seemed to need less work but now no one wants them..
