My primitive 2004 Toyota RAV4 5 speed gets 25/31 mpg 161 hp only 8 horse less than the new Toyota Corolla cross. 😅

If it has a CVT transmission you can have it the transmission cost more then the car worth,If you want a Honda you need a fat wallet all the money you save on fuel you gonna be spending on the damn car because every little thing you do on the damn thing cost an arm and a leg

Toyota knows that their cars last so long that they have to rebadge something from 15 years ago in order to sell it or people will keep their mid-2000s model.

My brother at some point will throw his hard earned money down the toilet. He likes bmw’s etc people like my brother has to learn his own lesson the hard way. Oh it hit me Maserati passing though town or got one which is very very stupid. Nobody local can fix or work on them their is one mechanic that can but it has to be out of warranty. It’s mechanical ⚙️ they all do but when it comes to foreign stuff flat bed time. Shipped to dealer see as you stated 4,000 $ just for struts you will give the shirt 👕 off your back to fix stuff. Most dealers now refuse the warranty jack the new/used stuff to the moon. Stick with Toyotas,Hondas. Even though we have two ram trucks one one ton for the rv the other 04 still going we have gotten lucky. My dad doesn’t like ford trucks period two Jeep Grand Cherokee’s either way nadda trouble. My brother needs a new rim and lug nuts n studs were ruined by a dealer using I’m sure short sockets dropped the rim. Or pried against it their ^ shape in the rim. Plus ruined nuts my brother had to park his Jeep. You can’t weld that. Yea it happened double blow outs idiots at the dealer plus we were going on trip lug nut failure and stripped to cross threaded. Had the nas car shake [loose] had to limp home on a prayer 🙏

Why can’t they just make the car is like the matrix? Who cares about CVT transmissions, when you could get old school transmissions working just fine reliably.

Imagine someone following Scotty's advice and selling a new reliable car (Nissan) for a much older and even more expensive Toyota and end up under on the loan. Well I don't have to imagine because it has happened to his viewers. By the way this is coming from someone who loves Toyota.

I rebuilt the dash cluster on my 2005 Ford Mustang. I replaced the stepper motors for the Tachometer, coolant temp gauge and fuel level. A week after doing the replacement and driving the car for 3 days( total 300 miles) The oil pressure light came on. Even when the key is turned off and pulled from the ignition the oil light is still on. Car has oil half way up the working marks on it. I am afraid it will run my battery dead with that light on all light. What would you do?

Scotty, I have a 2000 Solara with 200,000 miles and 4 new struts will cost me $1,200 to replace. Mechanic said labor intensive due to having to take car apart. Best car I've ever owned but disappointed in the life of the struts.
