Hey Scotty how reliable is the 2018 Mazda 3?
Batteries are junk now. I work in the fire alarm industry. Code says they must be replaced after 5 years in service. We don't get 5 years out of them anymore, lucky to get 3. And these are batteries that rarely are discharged.

Honest mileage, that's so funny LOL. My brother unhooked his Subaru speedometer many moons ago so he could keep the mileage down and get a better dollar for it. The thing is by the time he sold it it was old anyhow and he sold it to me. Hey at least I got a low mileage Subaru hahahaha.
That brings me to my teenage days. My dad got really pissed when I put over 200 miles on the car when it should've been just 10 to 15 miles. Of course we spent the whole night driving the car and goofing off around town.
So, I learned my lesson and unhooked the speedometer for those forays. Ooooppps, the gas mileage all of a sudden sucked. Now I had to learn to refill the gas to the proper place. I was so good at unhooking the speedometer I actually could do it while driving. Hooking it up was a little bit more difficult. This was an old late 60s AMC hornet.
Used a digital battery analyzer on my son's truck today, battery is starting to go down. I use a cen-tech from harbor freight. Does a pretty good job.
