    It's not that the seals "go bad" — typically the bearing gets too far out of spec on the water pump, which causes it to have a wobble, which will then stretch the seal and that's when it starts leaking from the weep hole– which is exactly why it's there. Not to tell you that the seal is bad– but to tell you that the "BEARING is bad.

    It's called a weep hole 🕳 because you will cry & weep when you got to change the waterpump & find out how much it cost

    And do not buy a cheap water pump and if you get an aftermarket one, i still always get o.e.m gaskets some cars it'll make a huge difference and keep it from leaking again 500 miles down the road.
