    I went to my local Driver's auto repair in Houston, Texas and they wanted to charge me $600 to fix a/c along with the diagnostic charge $80. My dodge van a/c would only work when I am driving over 20mph and when in off position. Went back to my local non franchise auto repair person and to fix my a/c $152 to replace the resister.

    Ah, how simple fuel pump replacement used to be! I remember replacing one in about 10 minutes on I40 in AZ. Only problem was finding one for a ‘74 Matador – good thing it had a Ford engine, still cost $25 back in the early ‘80s…
