Scotty , with new 3/4 ton pickups starting a $34k now, are you better off just picking up a late 60s early 70s 3/4 ton and dropping in a fresh motor (say 300-I6) and manual transmission (5-6 speed)? I am talking a work truck that half its miles will be on gravel.

Note on buy gasoline: If you see a gas truck refilling the in-ground tanks at your gas station or you see that truck just pulling away, don't buy gas there for at least an hour or two. Sediment and crud collects in the bottom of those tanks and refilling them stirs up that stuff. You want to wait a while for all of that crud to settle back down so you are getting clean gas from the pump.
Does anybody know who makes Nissan fuel pumps? I've got a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder that is eventually going to need a replacement fuel pump. I thought I'd get ahead of the problem and have an original Nissan fuel pump ready to go, just like Scotty says.
I use Shell V-power on my cars…works great.
