Hey scotty, I took ownership of my dad's 200 Ford expedition. It has 270,000 miles on it and I was surprised at my father who never change the transmission fluid. Well I did change and a solenoid too while I was there and he it's running better than ever!! Yes transmission fluid plays a huge factor. We got my mom's car transmission fluid change and it feels brand new as well
2012 Ford Fusion 4cyl, Trany (bang shifted) hard shifted down (on 1 of the 2 3000' (1000m) mountains I drive on the way home right from the dealer (flat-lander), changed too B&M Trick Shift -> problem solved (200,000 mi so far!! (changed fluid 5 times thus far)
I knew a girl who used park on her automatic to stop the car instead of the brakes, it made the most horrible noise everytime but she insisted that was how you used it since she was parking so you put it in P.
Car didn't last very long.
I would take a C6 for Ford, TH 400 for GM any day over all of this new crap they are making today.

Most people(including myself) won't change all tires every time there is a flat.Same size and pressure ,yes.Too expensive even if it's good for your trans.
