People have advised me to buy the thermostat directly from Honda and Toyota for those cars
u r obviousl an xcellent mechanic and give (usually) great advice. BUT there is one thing ive noticed over the years…. your engines are always filthy as possum sh^t mixed with smashed grasshopers. clean your engines scotty, its the sign of a great mechanic.
There are also purely air cooled engines (that dont have oil cooler either)
too bad i got it from rockauto already ……….
Is it just me, or does your garage look organized now? Oh my mistake.
I have 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan with 283000 everytime I fill the radiator up with cooln. It runs out after I go down the road but after I checked it cooln is half way but the van Dr good
One of the reasons why German engineers choose to make their vehicles costly to repair is because people will buy a new one instead of paying someone big money to repair the vehicle they own.
Of course, the engineers might find it interesting to combine all the different components so they work together. But it is not a good idea because of the complexity.
You forgot about full aluminum radiators
I've had HORRIBLE experiences with aftermarket radiators. Absolutely horrible. I've had two of them that were molded incorrectly on the tanks and 2 others that failed within 6 months or less.
Good bye engine
