    ….he didn't say which refrigerant , r134a is now replaced by another stupid refrigerant which is flammable I think . Might as well use butane or propane then .

    I have a 2000 AU-2 Ford ute , the aircon was blowing hot air , thought the compressor was stuffed being 20 years old , turned out all it needed was a regas …….best $140 I ever spent

    There are very few that "really really" know what they're talking about. I have watched over 50 of Scotty's videos. His 54 years as a mechanic truly shows, he must have seen absolutely everything, and he is sharing it with us which I truly appreciate. The problem is trying to find a mechanic of his caliber in this day and age.

    In Australia we can’t just top up a vehicle, if it’s low on refrigerant, it must of leaked out. Cause refrigerant has a global warming potential, we have to leak detect the system.
    In 20 years I’ve never seen gauge readings like that and it not a failed compressor, although there are new variable displacement compressors on flashy new cars, they look a lot different to conventional compressors. A new compressor and drier, maybe a flush if you wanna get carried away would of fixed it. Also use a temp Gauge in the centre vent as then you fair dinkem know what the temp is.
