My 2000 xk8 jaguar started engine shaking a rattling after over heating . Exhaust smells like gas when running . What can it be?

You have so much knowledge in your head.
On most modern vehicles the if the AC is on then the cooling fan will be running. Gotta have the fan running to cool the condensor. There is a lot of what this guy says that contradicts himself. Under normal circumstances the only way the cooling fan wont run with the AC turned on is if the AC system is low on refrigerant or there is something off with the fan itsself
