Hi Scotty, just love your channel learnt a lot keep it up.
Have had to do that heater trick a few times over the years. Works. And now I actually know why! Thanks, Scotty!
Should you also turn on the A/C with the heat on (like it does when you defog?) Because the air goes through the A/C system first, cooling the air, thus cool air will go through the heater core rather than ambient air.
00:44 drive it to a garage literally ?
Thanks for the tip Scotty. ?
This only helps if you have coolant in the system and your fan for whatever reason can't pull the proper amount of air through the radiator. Most overheating problems are because there's not enough coolant for the pump to circulate it no amount of air can cool that.
My family has been in the radiator service since 1957 and have told many people that and it does help in some case's. Great video Scotty.
My BMW started to overheat. Turns out the Water Pump Seized and broke the Serpentine Belt.
We love you Scotty <3
mine only gets hotter when sitting at stop lights for a short while. i turn my direction of the air to max, and kick the hot air on all the way. fixes it right away.
