Little did he know….one of my favorite lines ever.
Right on the money scotty! I passed a competency test and walked right in and started as a lube tech for Toyota. In my time, I saw at least 3 UTI graduates get hired and quit or get fired. All hired as lube techs all failed not long after being hired. Complaint after complaint about how they went to school and now they're just a lube tech. Now 1 works in a care home, 1 works for a rodeo.. 20 years later I'm a Subaru master tech. Spent my $20-80k on quality tools and classes held by snap-on, napa, o'riley. $100 per course.
How about stating the VOLTAGE REGULATOR,…if going bad, will impose no limit on the (properly functioning) alternator output…so then it overcharges the battery. Don't overlook this.
