the sign of a great mechanic, able to come up with a solution to a problem and implement the solution. my dad (one of the greatest mechanics I ever knew) taught me that over 50 years ago. I really appreciate how Scotty does things.
Just how dedicated Scotty is, making a video on Sunday and on Father's day too, thank you Scotty, as always your videos are awesome.
On old American cars you could just jump the high pressure switch. Why car companies decided to make everything electric when a manual cable or switch would last forever is beyond me. Something like points and plugs that you could do yourself and would cost $25 now costs 6 or 7 hundred. A heater core or evaporator would cost maybe $80 now costs $2000. I have a Chevy trailblazer that runs and drives like new but with 240,000 miles I'd like to replace the timing chain, but it's over 20 hours labor. So I'll just wait till it dies and get something else. Or maybe put in a 383 stroker, but that will cost over 6 grand just for the motor.
