I just paid $586 for a tune up for my 2015 VW GTI at the dealer. Rip off.
I have 2010 Chevy impala lt with 3.5 engine with 178k miles mostly highway miles I have the original wires and spark plugs from the factory should I change them the car is running fine but should I or just let it be
I got 275,000 miles from my ngk laser platinum plugs
I'm very curious about time ups because of this misnomer. I know little about cars and the new mechanic shop i go to said I need a tube up for my 1998 mustang, 209K miles.
My previous mechanic (sadly retired) told me 4 years ago not to worry about tube ups.
Should I get one of not?
the guy who put a computer in a car should be shot!
only real tune up now is at 100k miles the sparkplugs change
On modern car with spark plugs, you need to change the spark plugs every 100K to 150K miles. Many go as long as 200K+ miles.
My country still stuck on 60's they still making carburetor cars
But lets be honest the last a really long time if you live in a dry climate and use quality parts?
-hey your car needs to tune up
-are you in mercedes F1 team?
-what?no
-then my car dosent need to tune up
