Sad, isn’t it, Scotty. But I’m your age, so “Mopar Cool” happened in the 60’s and peaked in 1970. Still, it’s sad to see “global business” ruin another automotive icon.
Same thing can be said about the Boeing-Douglas merger. They kept the good name but the Douglas bean counters took over and trashed the engineer-based culture of Boeing.
Glad I still own my 1995 Firebird Formula.
When most dealers say they "can't find anything" it means they've found the issue but they're at fault and don't want to fix it for free
Honestly SRT was the only thing that separated Dodge from Chevy and Ford. While Chevy and Ford where moving to the electric car game and even making electric versions of the Corvette and the Mustang, Dodge doubled down on the crazy V8s not only with the Demon and the Charger Hellcat as far as to make a Hellcat version of the Durango and the Pacifica, and this kinda made them stand out from everyone else. But now that that SRT is shutting down and Dodge are going onto the Electric car game they won't stand out anymore and just become another one of the pile of electric car manufacturers.
The SRT division was literally the only reason to buy Dodge anything.
