This is the last video in the series of Large Rust Hole repair using fiberglass patch, the finished product could have been better one more coat of filler and more spot putty but this is an older car that will be off the road in a few years. This video is just showing an alternative to metal patches to help people with less knowledge of metal forming and welding this is much better than tape and can keep you going for years and it will pass a road side inspection. If you don’t mind how straight or smooth the finish it is you can finish the job a lot faster than in my video. . This is just one way out of many most body man would recommend a replacement panel or patch that is welded but for an older car or beater this works fine, this is not restoration. I don’t always do this I use metal for door skins, rockers, cab sides, quarters etc but for hard to form areas fiberglass is the stuff.

Holymoly! I´m sorry, but this is the worst repair job, I´ve ever seen…

Not bad man. you did a good job. the mixing of the fillers may give you a weird time when the temperature changes but so far so good. If you do decide to re sand the in side of the door I would suggest a long flat hand sander. hand sanding has worked better for me because I can feel the car as I sand it and keeps me from sanding out body detail. using a flat surface hand sander will keep you from sanding the filled area to far

If I were to fix every ding, scratch and rust on my vehicle, I would be working on it 24-7 and wouldn't be able to drive it anyway…

I'd just cut out the wheel arch weld another one in about an hour easy job and no filler in site ?
