In this video I show the prep work how to cut out the rust and grind it down before installing a metal or fiberglass patch on your vehicle.
I’m showing more detail than my first video (how to repair a large rusted out area on your vehicle). This is just one way out of many to do this and by no means am I saying this is the best way. You don’t have to use a large grinder like mine, a small grinder or rotary tool with a cut off wheel and sanding wheels work as well then you can run the rotary tool off an inverter if you are doing this in the parking lot. The patching I do in these videos are just repairs this is not professional restoration but they do last a long time if you do it right, and rust proof after finishing everthing. Please check out part 2 materials, Thanks for Watching

Thanks!- Liked- and Subscribed one comment – if I may. A little warning so I can level the sound before you turn on the tool would be awesome, soft voice plus a loud tool equals blown speakers and bleeding ear drums.- Great info and guidance though!

I saw that you put a fiberglass cloth down in one of your other videos. Is it epoxy that you over the fiberglass cloth.

Great job with the overall hole repair on that car. Won't have to rely on welders all the time.
