In this Auto Body Repair demonstration we are going over ways you can repair a scratch without using a spray gun. These aerosol spray paints were purchased at NAPA for around $25 each, you could spray a medium sized fender approximately or multiple touch ups. If you do the repair to complete procedure you could end up with a repair comparable to what you would expect at a body shop.

I want to emphasize a little bit more on the clear coat. He is using a 2k clear, NOT the general duplicolor clear you can buy at autozone for $7. The way that clear lays, hardens and lasts is IMPERATIVE to the finish of the paint. If you're going to attempt this with aerosol make sure that buying 2k clear is an expense you do not cut.

iF spray painting a whole car would you need to sand down the clear coat? i know for best results it would need to be done but would i be able to just spray whatever color paint i would be using and then apply the clear coat on top?
you sprayed in a control environment (spray booth). Most guys painting with rattle cans do not have access to them. Where you paint makes a big difference on the finish.
