U should wipe off the dip stick and then put it back in and check the level again and not start the engine u want the oil to sit at the bottom of the pan to get a true reading as oppose to starting it up and oil splashing around inside the crank case walls.

Im so sorry u own a car like that and know nothing about engines. oil light comes on. ALWAYS change oil at that moment and filter. filter first then drain oil. replace filter. add oil. SOOOOOOO tough to watch this one. ????. also with as much driving as u do. change ur oil often. average car should be changed 3-5k miles.

If you cant pay a service just dont buy it! A proper service is more than oil and filters change. ???
