I still prefer old clunkers. I drive very defensively. Even doing that I have close calls.
Not a big fan of new cars, you pay out the butt for safety, but when the car gets into a simple fender bender the insurance totals it out.
Not only do you spend 50k+ on a simple car, but when the thing gets into an accident, everyone forces you to get a replacement car. That 50k+ down the drain, faster then a blink of an eye.
Can't people drive as if their life depended on it?
Nope. Most older vehicles were better built and dont have all the complicated junk added on to it so you have to pay high $$$$$ to fix them. I always have and always will buy older vehicles.
