You were alot better driver back when there were real consequences for being inattentive or just stupid. Motivation works well.

Newer cars are more destructible, so no😒
Older cars are built better and more strong
Have a low crash means fatality for the new car, while the older car replace a bumper or something and is brand new😂

Hahaha. Funny. "Modern cars" had crumple zones. Hmmm that pickup has crumple zones and my 75 Ford Elite had crumple zones. Crumple zones of been in cars since the 70s. 😅😅
Drivers just need to be drivers instead if worrying about all the damn gadgets

Cars back then were made of metal, heavier to deflect the impact by factor of inertia. They didn't crumple like modern cars from a windy day.

    Air bags kills people everyday

I grew up without safety belts. 1968 and newer cars, 1972 and newer pickups was when government mandated safety belts. The Smart car shaped like an egg does not give, you do. Race cars do not have airbags. Nascar goes 200mph. Crashes into walls. Flies through the air, rolls and rolls into a crumpled heap. No airbags. Invariably the race driver walks away. Hundred million airbags been recalled.

And the newer cars are driven by assholes. Cars should be made so the airbags are disabled if drivers go over the speed limit, change lanes without signaling, brake check another driver, cross over yellow line. And black boxes should be installed on ALL vehicles in case of crash.

That's why you wear and secure your seatbelt by pulling it all the way, then letting it go so it can lock.

Old cars, 300 % more dead.
