Remember the late model Mercedes S class you repaired for that rich fyyk mr. magestic, it was a front collison job. You were asking "should i charge him more than regular folks?" "should i charge him more because the car is luxury expensive vehicle and owner is millionaire". And your answer was NO. Your personality wont be making good money by collision jobs. I can only suggest continue the hot rod business that you're involved your whole life. This is your life. But from now on CONTRACT AND DO ONLY metal, body and paint of hot rods.Leave interior, engine, mechanical, suspension and steering out of the Business. Of course that way youll get people in the comments complain that you never got "complete" turnkey car out of your garage like they were complaining years before.

It’s time to look at the man in the mirror Pete. He’s the only one you have to answer to

Charge storages when the ball doesnt roll. Let them to decide to go all out or fix it right. I would do restoration and do collisions as a backstop

Yes, you should only do collision work and ditch the restoration work (unless you are restoring a car for yourself).

This is exactly why my uncle at his body shop only does 1-2 restorations at a time at his body shop the rest is constant flow of auto repair jobs paid by insurance companies constant cash flow to keep the doors open and also doing custom cars he usually has 1 or 2 guys working on the old car for a certain amount of hrs a day so it's also not sitting on the back burner and specifically will have a day or 2 of all day work depending the stage of the restoration but point is constant cash flow and nothings sitting in his shop just collecting dust

I think the correct answer is as follows.. the fact that you're doing hot rod work means that it's important to you , when you know that you can earn good easy money doing collision work , I personally would say f*** it! I'll do collision work thank you very much! less contact with the customer the better! but I know the fact that you do hot rod work is because it means something to you! I haven't heard your answer yet but that's my answer to you my chum Pete!πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘‹πŸ‘

I think you should do collision repair and do one or 2 restorations at a time only at this stage in your age and health I think you have to just take care of yourself at this point in life my friend Pete and shove projects a side unless the money is right
