Clean energy is an oxymoron. They use coal plants to produce the energy. Not only that but it would kill the plantlife of the planet if we reduced the carbon dioxide being used. Plants take CO2 and release O2. You as an individual are a carbon based lifeform. These politicians are trying to manipulate you and me to fill their pockets.

China does not produce much oil. If their population is going afford an EV it will have to have cheap batteries. The EVs that are being make in China have Na batteries because Li is much more expensive. But Li is much smaller than Na, so a battery of the same size that uses Na has a much lower energy content than the Li ones, so much lower driving range (forget about 100 miles). The govt. wants the population to use the cheap Na batteries so they can justify their newer coal operated electricity plants that will produce major emissions. Nothing to do with the US govt!
