Use jack stands for your safety. Never work on only jack.

Totally agree with you, the jack for W124 is the worst, very dangerous, it tends to roll, the car will fall down.
Just go my self a hydrolic jack and stands, just to be safe.

Is this the same as a 2002 c220 cdi coupe?

James, it should not be that much different, if any. Just make sure you have the correct pads. Check with your local auto supply store, they will tell you exactly which ones you need. The new ceramic brake pads don't leave any brake dust on the rims/wheels, which I really appreciate.

Thanks. In anticipation of my next brake change/inspection, I just bought some heavy duty jack stands at Harbor Freight (on sale for $15. !!).

Thanks, good advice. I just bought some jack stands. Heavy duty wheel chocks aren't a bad idea either.

I work for a parts supplier here in uk so it shouldn't be a problem with me finding them, the pads I can get are asbestos free so no dust for me!!!! 🙂

2002 C240 exact same as video, great instructional. Rambo, there are no sensors on the rear, only on front on this model.
