I have a Saab but I am pretty handy
..cars are good, some odd things about them but I love my 9-5 wagon with 200k runs like a champ
…9-5 aero was a built by Subaru, is basically a wrx with a saab badge
..most mechanics don't like them because they are not simple, it's more like a Mercedes great car but best if not your everyday

Did he say a Suziki GT 750? I had two of them, at different times, and they are beasts. 2 stroke, 3 cylinder, water cooled. Very fast, but cylinder walls were thin and would get water into cylinders. Memories.

It absolutely drives me nuts when Scotty bags on Suzuki cars. the actual Japanese designed Suzuki vehicles we're very good work horses. The go / Chevy Metro is it perfect example of a small car that was discontinued almost 20 years ago but still is all over the road in places that don't have a problem with corrosion like in the Northeast. They were known in the car industry as Japanese beetles because of how easy it was to work on them and their life's longevity however they were bought by General Motors which thought the Chevrolet / Geo Metro and Suzuki Sidekick Geo Tracker Where too expensive to manufacture so what they did was rebadged all the failing korean-made Daewoo cars as Suzuki's which really brought down their reputation. if you can still get your hands on a Geo Chevy Metro AKA Suzuki Swift 3 or 4 cylinder models that are in relatively decent shape body-wise they still have a huge Market in the Southeast and Southwestern United States. I read that the Chevy Metro replacement was the Daewoo built Chevrolet Aveo abortion and even though the Aveo was a much more modern car and modern design it cost half to build then what the Metro cost which is why GM replaced it. I do agree that if you do come across one of these little cars you should definitely go for the five-speed Stick Over the 3 or 4 speed automatic versions because there was a dramatic difference in acceleration speeds as well as fuel economy but they definitely were not junky cars
