I used to work on a bus company as a maintenance specifically my task is for the paint job, and normally we often worked with large buses so i can say repairs are huge as for the paint as well. so for applying putty we sometimes use long straight like rulers for better flat accuracy like 2 feet and a half to be exact.

That texture of the putty in the end means you cant get it smooth, so you have to use another barch of putty from the can?
