You should also alert people to the fact that with SOME cars…( ie..my Citroen )…you can't simply jump into the car and start it up. Doing this can erase all the codes from the onboard computer ( then you really will cause yourself 'a lot of trouble' ). What you must do is turn the key twice till the dashboard lights come on but not the engine.. wait at least 2 minutes before trying to start it up. I'm sure each make of car has it's own 'thing'.. but you really should point this out as well.
