I ordered a Toyota Highlander. No dealership has any inventory! When I finally received my Highlander, I was surprised that I received a rebate of $500. Not a lot of money considering how much the overall price was, but it made me feel better about how much money I paid. Perhaps a very smart move by Toyota. Reduces post purchase cognitive dissonance. Regardless, it is an awesome vehicle! I was super awe struck by how good it was. Now I just need it to last for the rest of my life. I day or two after delivery was when Toyota announced a 40% reduction in the production of new vehicles. I feel grateful that I have a super reliable vehicle that is great.

Buy through Costco. I just bought a Ridgeline below msrp. The dealer wants to keep Costco business, even for a short term loss. gL.

I live in Sweden and the prices for used cars are average here. Not too cheap, not too expensive.
I really don't understand how prices can go up so much in the US. Are people scrapping and crashing so many cars that they buy a new one each year or something?

Scotty do you know why a 2006 Nissan Maxima key gets stuck in the ignition while in park?

I work in a Toyota dealership as a detailer and I can say this the prices are extremely high right now for example we had a used Tacoma TRD that's being priced at almost 70k

I have a 10 year old Honda civic coupe. I love it! Drives great, handles great, below 100k miles on it. It's pure enjoyment to drive. Best part, no car payments! Now, I pay myself into my own savings account.
