Flat 6 porsche engine is just a beautiful sound. Bmw straight 6 is nice.. but not as cool..
The toyota 5.7 v8 is good sounding , but a bit too quiet for my taste.
My ford v10 6.8 liter has never had a good sound. The old ford 460 v8 had a great sound.
Fiberglass packed turbo mufflers are the best compromise between sound control and performance. Quiet at idle and throaty on acceleration. Said to be as free flowing as a straight pipe.
Sounds like the auto industry has caught up with American idol
it's sad that auto makers have to "pump" sound in to make an engine sound great!
