I have a cheap plastic welder which actually works surprisingly well have fixed dash board, bumper and a couple of other things that seemed unfix able…Now i have a plastic bumper piece part that holds fog lights on a gmc 1500 4×4 that is cracked in 3-4 spots pretty bad i need to fix…But i do think a good plastic rubber type epoxy work very well also…

Dude, if you would have taken like 2 seconds to look at the crack from the front while you were taping the crack together it would have lined up. Just saying… If you are going to show people how to do it right, don't do it half-hazardly.

Thanks for the ideas, here is another low budget fix. I had a bumper that was torn in half in several places. Thoroughly cleaned back side area with Goof Off. Sanded backside with heavy grit sandpaper to at least 2" each side of tear. Cleaned entire bumper again with hot soapy water and thoroughly dried. Aligned and taped front side with clear packing tape. Used fiber mesh self adhering drywall screen / tape on backside across center of cracks, trimming and pressing into contours. Thoroughly mixed J B Weld two part epoxy and pushed into tape across the entire width of tape and let cure overnight.
