Obviously he's not trying to do a perfect job which would be time consuming and pointless, the car is getting junked. Nor is he claiming it to be a long lasting, the best way to repair it or how'd he do it if he was doing it for a shop. The title is "Can you repair badly damaged and peeling clear coat?" And the video answered it. Yeah, of course he could have feathered the clear coat on the fender some and attempted to blend it as well as cover the entire hood. But again, why, when you can tell just from those sections it'd be a night and day difference.

Its crazy the difference it makes. That's the same product we use at my shop. But you really could even that transition out much better than that!! But that's not the video was about! Simply spraying a clear coat! I got it now:)!

The more I see you do, the more I trust you, I have had some paint issues with my Black on Black Nissan Maxima, and some of the things I have picked up from you have not only helped, but I have learned not to be so picky with my first applications and so forth, good stuff please keep it coming. Harley!
