In Italian GTO= Grand Turismo Omologato, it translates to Grand Touring Qualified from the mind of John DeLorean as his design. A Grand Prix departure, it was meant as a slam to Ferrari’s GTO model with the same badge. Costing $4,000 new in 1967, it came with a big block, A/C, P/S and limited slip differential from the factory.
